If you look at what is being published online about the music industry nowadays there’s a good proportion of it dealing with what used to happen and how much times have changed but not much discussion regarding what is going to happen in the next few years.
It’s all well and good to know where you’ve come from and what is happening right now but, if you don’t have a sense of what is in store for the music business in general then the decisions you make today may not be the right ones for the future.
Through the sonicbids blog I’ve come across a three part series of articles written by well known music business identity Bobby Borg which outlines his opinions on what the future of the music business might look like in 2020.
Regarding the present state of the music business, Bobby says that…
“No one can know for sure what awaits the music industry in the near future – especially after witnessing how quickly new technology has changed the traditional music business in just the past five years.”
With that being said, I thought it would be interesting to see what Bobby and other music industry identities say about the future of the music business. You can go to the following articles below…
What do you reckon will be the online and offline landscape that the music business will find itself in a few years. Have a read of the above articles and if there’s anything you’d like to discuss then let me know.
Until next time, get out there and do it,
