Should I Play Mustang Sally?

I have been confronted by this question many, many times. Hopefully this flowchart will give me the answer no matter where I’m playing.

As a drummer, Mustang Sally was more fun to play than to have to listen to in the audience. The ultimate pander for me was Brown Eyed Girl.

I pick and choose my Mustang Sally moments however we do a really blistering funk version of it and because I’m the bass player… I love messing with the mind of the audience
